Welcome Back

MSJ are gearing up for a busy term. We have started our new inquiry called "Blame it on the Rain?". We all brought in a water sample from our holidays and we had to guess where it came from. We are all looking forward to our excursion next Thursday and we are REALLY excited about camp in the few weeks.

Party Time

I got such a fantastic surprise today from my awesome class MSJ. They organised a surprise party for my birthday with balloons, decorations, yummy food and Amy even made a cake. I wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to the girls for organising it all they were very sneaky. It was a wonderful party and we had a great time dancing.

Life Ed Van

Yesterday we went to visit the Life Education Van and participated in a session called Mind Your Medicine. We learn many different things about the safe use of medicines and how they affect our body. We also go to see Harold.

Camp

Don't forget to hand in your camp notes by Wednesday 15th September. We will be going to camp on the 27th to 29th October.

Maths

This week we are using all our maths knowledge and applying it to problem solving tasks.

Clean your teeth

We were lucky enough to all recieve a free toothbrush and toothpaste from Colgate. We watched a DVD on the importance of brushing your teeth everyday.

Pen Licence

Tatum and Amy are the 1st people to recieve their pen licence in MSJ.

Fun times in MSJ

During our inquiry we discovered that we can make an egg float by adding salt to the water. We also had fun making boats or raft that would float.

CSIRO Incursion

Another big day in MSJ!

Today Steph from the CSIRO came to visit us. We learnt about different forces and did lots of fun experiments.

What A Day!

We have had an exciting day today in MSJ. We had the author of the book 'Crackpot' Ms Fiona Trembath come to visit us. She spoke about the writing process and how kindness is catchy. We were given bookmarks and a kindness card.

We also started our inquiry unit 'Science that Matters'. MSJ and MSR got together to test out some experiments. We made a balloon blow up using vinegar and bicarb soda and we made a rocket.

SuperClubs Plus

Today we have been using SuperClubs. We have be earning our Cyber Safety Badges and setting up our Homepages.

Nathan thinks that "Superclubs is lots of fun and it helps you to be Cyber Smart."
